Human beings have been obsessed with replacing themselves waaay before AI was a thing.

And it all happened before our eyes, before we even noticed.

I don't want to say it's a curse that we welcomed but it kinda is, just like many things within our ignorance.

Human beings have an insane track record of being lazy, and you don't have to go anywhere to know this.

But think about it.

Why did we even invent the wheel? So that we don't need to walk as much, and can travel in a cart.

Then, look at the engines we have now. The person pulling the cart is also removed.

Calculators? Computers? Same. Even with fans and light bulbs. So we don't have to wave with our hands and light up a fire in the middle of the house.

That's all one less human needed after each breakthrough.

(Happenstance? Hmm…)

And now, look at AI. We're almost at the peak of reducing and replacing human effort.

Which is no surprise because we're inherently good at that as our past suggests.

Basically, all our efforts throughout our existence with innovation and creating stuff, were intentionally or not, directed in a way that reduces human effort.

I don't really know why. But maybe our ancestors felt smarter when they noticed they can work less, and we just continued searching for that feeling?

(Searching for a feeling? Hmm…)

Is it a consequence-unaware-curiosity? Or just a play of the market with money and power?

Or both?

I don't know. But here's my philosophy and what I wanted to share with the rumbling.

We, human beings are not as smart as we think. We're always unaware of something and more unaware than we are not.

And guess what? Still, technology grows. World changes. And things happen.

All this, with our own bubbles of ignorance and oblivion each of us carry everyday.

And the people who made a difference, were no exception to these blind spots.

And I promise, if we all zoomed out enough, none of us really have any idea on what we're doing with our lives.

And that's okay.

You don't have to be all-knowing. You don't need 100% clarity in every part of your life.

Sometimes that realization can take us a long way.

You just have to be slightly ignorant. And unintentionally human.

Sometimes, blind spots are good. Maybe they'd make your life faster while the other person is still “analysing.”

Anyway, weird post. Just had to get this out of my system.

Let me know if any of this stirred anything in you. Just hit reply and I'm ready to rumble.
