Do You Believe…?
This piece of knowledge will allow you to be more aware of yourself, more conscious, and mindful of where you’re spending your energy.
Where you direct your energy will determine how you feel and the outcomes in your life.
By mastering this awareness, you can take control of your emotions, guiding yourself towards a more positive and fulfilling life.
Let’s dive in!

Let’s Set the Scene…
Imagine this situation:
You and your friend are out for a trip, and after climbing a mountain, you reach the top. There’s a man offering base jumping services—it’s the easiest way down. But your friend is afraid of heights.
So, why is your friend unable to take the jump?
Let me give you another scenario:
You and a classmate decide to show up for a national science exhibition at your college. To be selected, you both need to present a working model of a technology, explaining its details. You attend the interview, and later, the results are announced: your classmate gets selected, but you don’t.
What stopped you from getting selected?
The Actual Lesson of “Do You Believe…?”
Here’s the crucial question:
Do you believe in your negative thoughts?
In both situations, the difference between success and failure lies in where your thoughts are focused. Your thoughts and your subconscious decision to believe in them—positive or negative—shape your reality.
Where you focus your attention, your energy grows. Whether that focus is positive or negative, it becomes your experience.
The key difference between someone who succeeds and someone who falters is often this: the successful person believes not only in themselves but also in their thoughts.
They actively choose to believe in the thoughts that propel them forward, and not believe in the thoughts that pull them down, while those who stumble often fall victim to doubts and fears they subconsciously choose to believe in.
You Have the Power to Choose
When we fail, it’s easy to start believing we aren’t good enough. The thought “I am not good enough” might seem like a fact, but here’s the truth: you have the power to choose whether or not to believe in that thought.
Every thought is just a set of neurons firing in your brain. If a thought is draining or bothering you, remember—you have the power to choose not to believe in it. It might seem hard, but it’s possible.
In the first scenario, your friend was afraid of heights because they weren’t aware of their ability to choose not to believe in the fear. That fear was just a thought—a thought that kept them from jumping and experiencing the exhilaration of overcoming that long-held fear.
In the second scenario, you might have had a small doubt that you wouldn’t be selected. That doubt, left unchecked, grew into a belief you subconsciously accepted, keeping you from giving your best in that interview.
Your subconscious decision to give in to negative thoughts is what kept you from success.
Actionable Steps to Take Control of Your Thoughts
It’s easier said than done, right? But now that you know this secret, you can start working on it. Here are some practical steps to help you regain control over your mind:
Pause and observe your thoughts: The next time you feel anxious or doubtful, stop and acknowledge the thought.
Ask yourself: Is this thought helping or hurting me?
Choose differently: Make a conscious decision to focus on a positive, empowering thought instead.
With practice, you’ll realize that choosing not to believe in negative thoughts is within your power.
