After many mental rollercoasters, I’ve learned so much about the mind.
Reaching a high moment and hitting the rock bottom. Extracting lessons and getting back up.
Learning new things about the mind— its self-deceiving superpowers and its supreme tendency to attract negative thoughts without our consciousness — gives us a much wider understanding of ourselves.
It allows you to face truths about yourself and accept flaws.
Surrendering to our truths and acknowledging our flaws is by far the most efficient way to understand our true selves.

Getting to rock bottom teaches you a ton of things. About pain, suffering, happiness, and how important peace is. It gives you a new perspective on yourself and teaches you how to treat yourself the right way.
More on that here: The Power of Positive Self-Talk
After going through many moments of mental chaos here are five lessons I’ve learned that might help you with your mental struggles and avoid many in the future.
Choose Peace
Chaos is when you get to know the true value of Peace.
You realize after thorough mental chaos, unnecessary drama, loose talk, overreaction, anger, and every natural tendency of human life that you can name, rests quietly, unnoticed as the ultimate root cause of all human suffering - including mental chaos.
But if you look closer, you realize all the root causes of pain, suffering, and chaos, such as those stated above are all within our control. The natural tendencies that are within our control, are things that you can deliberately choose to do or not.
If we can remain just a little more conscious of our natural tendencies, we can prevent a gargantuan amount of pain, suffering, and chaos in our lives.
I am not saying everything other than being a monk is foolish, but it’s good to understand and acknowledge the facts.
But hey, it’s human nature and you don’t have to take this too seriously. But just being aware and acknowledging it alone will help you feel much better about yourself and prevent a lot of suffering and chaos from entering your life.
After all, it helps you live happier, right?
Change is Constant
You cannot run away from change.
Every high and low moment in life is fundamentally a change.
What goes up should come down and what goes down will come up, right?
Nothing is lifelong or permanent until you unconsciously believe it through your naturally occurring thoughts.
If you believe in superstitions, it’s the best way to live under actual lifelong sufferings.
Your naturally occurring thoughts are your natural tendencies and it is the biggest source of suffering in life as we discussed above.
Identify your natural tendencies, be aware of them, and if you will, work away from them. This is the path away from chaos and suffering.
It’s fundamentally a change, and don’t fear change.
Not a Problem at Long Shot
You might’ve seen Rowan Atkinson or Mr. Bean saying this quote in a reel on Instagram.
Just like all the noise of the Earth disappears when you go to space, all chaos is experienced only when we are close to it.
Take a back seat and view yourself from the imaginary camera that’s filming your entire life.
You realize you have the choice to look at life from a distant perspective.
You realize you have the choice to not give into the pain.
You realize you are in control and it’s your thoughts and actions that decide whether you suffer or not.
You realize you can choose not to suffer.
Once you take a back seat you can change the way you feel by realizing you can change the way you think.
After this, you will find that the chaos tightening your neck is slowly relieving.
You are free bro/sis. Don’t worry — the solution is more widespread than the problem itself. Affirm this. You will find strength.
The Only Way Out is Through
Once you are in chaos, there is no turning back. In other words, the only way out is through.
Searching for ways to avoid chaos and trying too hard to ignore it only works up to a certain point.
Instead, look forward and distill the problem with your past experiences while searching for the solution ahead.
Doing so will give you a better understanding and provide one more reason to be proud of yourself after bravely conquering one of the biggest pursuits of your life through the darkest times of your mind and soul.
You Can Only Get Better
Going through the chaos and courageously choosing to get back up again is the ultimate form of protection, love, and guidance you can confer to your mind, body, and soul.
Going through chaos multiple times and getting back up one more time than you have fallen upgrades your mind and soul in a multitude of ways.
You become more aware of yourself and learn to treat yourself the right way.
You learn to master the right intensity in every decision you make and you become a million times more resilient to mentally stressing thoughts — both internal and external.
It builds you into a better person than you found yourself before the tragedy and empowers you to grow naturally and respect your own and others’ emotions. Because you’ve literally ground through every emotion you could have and also most importantly, understood the reason behind your emotions and human emotions in general.
You learn to grow kinder, richer by heart, and treat people through the lessons you’ve learned about treating yourself the right way.
After breaking down completely and building back up again, you build higher and become superior to your own past self.
You legit become a superhuman.
A captain of your soul and a master of your fate.
